What better place to be for a sunset than in the Great Smoky Mountains. For certain, the haze that typically graces this area of the country should go far in ensuring a spectacular sunset. After a day of hiking at Great Smoky Mountains National Park, I'm camped out in the parking lot near Clingmans Dome, the highest point in the park at 6,643 feet.

The clear sky day is slowly turning into dusk. Up here on the mountain, I'm almost guarenteed to catch the sunset at its best and most colorful. Come with me now. And don't forget to bring your camera, you'll want to take a ton of pictures.
