Distance: 3.5 miles out and back

Elevation Change: 1,200 feet

Tread: Dirt trails, mountaintop

Miles/Time/Avg: 3.5/1:30:00/1.75

Bunsen Peak Trailhead.

No bikes, bummer. All the hiking trails in Yellowstone have this restriction. From what I can tell, Yellowstone isn't the greatest place to mountain bike. Maybe the worst?

Starting out on the hike I pass by an information board. Probably 95% if the time I just ignore information boards. I think they're primarily for hikers who are also big procrastinators. Why? Because such folks wait to do all their research at the trailhead.
