Yellowstone National Park
Northwestern Wyoming

This is my only hint of civilization on the whole hike.

Someone was nice enough to tell me not to take the right trail. Frequently when hiking you'll see these kinds of barricades, it takes some of the guess work out of hike navigation.

The trail suddenly dives back into the woods.

Over a bridge then on up a ways to the next trail sign. At this point I go straight ahead and head up Sepulcher Mountain Trail.

This tree probably fell over not too long ago. This is a popular trail and I bet the Park Service will be pretty quick to clear such an obstacle. In this case they would just chainsaw a passageway through the fallen tree.
