White Mountain National Forest
Southern New Hampshire

Zooming in on the outpost, it appears to be made of rock and stone. It looks rather disheveled, perhaps even abandoned.

A little more hiking puts us at the doorstep of the outpost.

The door is locked so we climb the stairs to get a look inside. There isn't much to see, just some kind of instrumentation box.

A few steel cables, affixed to stone secured anchors, litter the surrounding area. Due to extreme wind conditions that undoubtedly visit this area from time to time, the cable system was probably used to secure whatever else was up here.

Some surrounding flora.

Some surrounding fauna. Oh, wait, that's actually Bill! Looks like he's doing a map-check. It's always good to know where you are.
