Snoqualmie National Forest
Central Washington State

Here's a stretch of some pretty gnarly downhill. To get down it I unclip from one peddle then dismount the seat, using the free foot to help guide me down. On all the nasty downhill sections of the singletrack, never once did I fall or walk the bike.

Here's my view on the way down.

I spend a little while resting and generally soaking up the sights and sun. As you can see, I'm getting a little scraggly in the whiskers since I only shave about once every 4 days. It takes a while to shave my head though but I'm getting better and better at it. I shave my head primarily for easy maintenance. But a secondary benefit I've come to realize is it's a great heat dissipater, leveraging I suppose the same concept used by elephants who use their big ears to keep cool.

My dad frequently says life is good if you're standing and taking in nutrition. As proof of that, here I am tanking up on an energy bar and some water. Dad is right, life is good.
