Washington/Idaho

On my way back I go out of my way to ride a little ways into the city to increase my distance so I'll end up riding at least 100 miles. I know it's silly but to end a bike ride at 98 miles is like climbing Mt Everest then within 500 meters of the top turning around to go back down.

I run into what must be the world's largest Radio Flyer Wagon. It's in a park and kids are sliding down its handle, clever.

I then head back to my starting point, my friend Gil's house, and round out my ride with a mileage of 100.19, just enough to tip the century mileage scale. I'm really happy to have completed the century ride, my second one I ever. The ride itself was great on the Washington side of the trail but fairly disappointing on the Idaho side.

Overall I rate riding the Centennial trail from Spokane, WA and Coeur D-Alene, ID and back again a paltry 3 thumbs-up out of a possible 5 thumbs. But in all fairness, I have to mention the Washington portion of the trail is great, receiving 4.5 thumbs.
