Other folks like to use wood and steel.

Some folks are open and inviting.

Other folks have to have a gate to swing shut.

I wonder if there are hidden meanings in the various designs. If I ever had to build one it certainly wouldn't have a gate. I think it would be made of stone and mortar, a material that weathers better than wood. But that would look funny in Montana where everything seems to be built out of wood.

About 10 miles into my dirt road adventure I encounter two horses that look rather friendly. I decide to pull over and see if they'll eat some raw carrots I have in my cooler.
