More scenes of death and life renewed.

As I drive along, in the distance, I can see a throng of people who have pulled over and are looking at something. Curiosity strikes me so I pull over to investigate. To my surprise, first time in my life, I witness the actual boiling of terra firma. The water is bubbling up and steaming, it looks like something out of a science fiction movie.

A lot of my Yellowstone animal photo ops will be similar to this one. A result of driving and watching for throngs of people standing outside their parked cars, all looking in a common direction and shooting photos. I don't have the patience to sit and wait for a particular animal to come into view. I'd rather let other folks do that for me.

The sign for Norris Campground soon comes into view

The campground doesn't have a host, it is a first-come-first-served campground. I talk with a park ranger stationed there. She tells me of the 3 available loops, loop A is the best. Unfortunately it has filled. She says the remaining open sites are going fast so I need hurry if I want one.
