Earth-toned desolation is the color of the morning. Needing to escape the somber scenery, I hop back into the van and head east.

After about a 1/2 mile drive I enter back onto the highway.

As I drive eastward I can see the beginnings of Bighorn National Forest in the distance.

Click here for more detail (and pictures) of my drive through Bighorn National Forest.

After passing through Bighorn the road continues being red for quite a ways.

Passing through Sheridan, WY. I drive around sniffing for an Internet connection. Once found (no surprise, it took some time, Sheridan, WY isn't very "wired") I download all my email then headed out.

After a little driving I pull over and eat my dinner with a view.
