So I tighten my grip and really give it a hard tug. But again, to no avail, it stays put. Oh no! I now realize I may have killed all the rock climbers who are still scaling the tower's walls. What have I done!? The anguish I feel is almost unbearable. I guess I need to be a more mindful when attempting to pilfer America's national treasures.

In an attempt to flee the crime scene, I travel eastward toward the WY/SD border, the red hillsides give way to a more "normal" color.

After a bit of driving I pass through Aladdin, WY. Throughout Wyoming all the towns, regardless of size, have a marker indicating its population and elevation. This one catches my eye because there are only 15 folks living here, according to the 2,000 census I think. A few houses are within eye-shot, a community hall and a general store. I find myself wondering if there are any towns in Wyoming with less than 15 people? Could I be considered a mobile WY town of 1, assuming I don't pass out of the state? Jeffville? Jefftown? Jeffport? Maybe I could charge sales tax to help pay for this trip.

With little fanfare I pass into South Dakota. The road sign and even the road itself hints something has changed. "Great Faces, Great Places." Now that's a catchy tagline.
