I pass by a few windmills, here's one of them.

On the way I run across this Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center. I stop by to see if there's a quick tour option but their two tours are both more than an hour long, and one cost $45, yowza!!! So I push on.

After a bit more driving I finally arrive at the House on the Rock.

Click here for more detail (and pictures) of my tour of the House on the Rock.

After my tour I head to Chicago, IL. I've burned through all my batteries on my tour (House on the Rock is somewhat dark inside so my camera flash was working overtime) so no more pictures, sorry. No biggie though, there really isn't anything worth taking pictures of.

After arriving in one of Chicago's western suburbs around 10:30pm I sniff around for an Internet connection. Once I find one I download all my email then spend about an hour reading and writing back. After uploading my outgoing email I decide to look for a different place to overnight since I plan to use this spot for Internet access only.

After a little driving around I find a suitable place and park the van. I immediately retire for the evening, taking care to not turn on the interior light or step outside the van, with the goal of keeping a low profile. Well it isn't anymore than 10 minutes before two police cars show up. I immediately hit the floor, hoping they will just shine their spot lights on my van and move on. Well, after the little light show I hear two car doors slam and I know the gig is up.

After a bit of flashlight-in-the-face interrogation, the police finally release me (one of them wishes me a safe trip which is nice of him), and I find myself in need of another place to overnight. I drive out of their patrol area, figuring it'd be about 10 miles elsewhere. After some driving around I find another spot in a different neighborhood. At this point I'm rather paranoid now, so after parking the van I just sit in the driver's seat, waiting for the police to arrive.
