Mount Marcy is located a little south of Lake Placid. To get there I have to drive to the village then head due south. On the way I spy the 90 and 120 meter ski jumps way off in the distance.

This is one of the many golf courses in the area. So if your game is in the toilet, at least you have nice scenery to look at.

Due south of Lake Placid I pass by the Olympic Jumping Complex.

I eventually reach the High Peaks Wilderness Area.
