I finally hit the official sign for Acadia National Park. Now that's funny, according to my GPS software, the park starts immediately after I crossed the Trenton Bridge. I think maybe the Visitor Center is nearby, that's why the sign is here.

Just outside Bar Harbor I pass by many, many hotels.

As I pull into Bar Harbor I immediately feel a sense of warm welcome and good cheer.

Click here for more detail (and pictures) of my tour of Bar Harbor, Maine.

After passing through Bar Harbor I strike out to the campground. On the way I see Champlain Mountain off in the distance.

After a bit of driving I arrive at Blackwoods Campground.
