Washington, D.C.

Around the rim of the fountain pool are the various Pacific theater places and events.

Well, that wraps up my tour of the National World War II Memorial. Here are my parting shots of the Memorial. I try to get all artistic and attempt to capture three important landmarks in a single shot. As you can see, my success is limited.

Regardless of my photography skills, I find my tour of the Memorial both inspirational and mildly cathartic. Looking back at all the theaters of battle, all the stars on the Freedom Wall, all the care and thought that was put into this Memorial, one cannot help but be affected in some way, shape, or form. If I think about it too long, I actually start to choke up a little.

I rate my tour of the National World War II Memorial a 5 thumbs-up, a perfect rating!
