Northwestern Wyoming

This is the trail's "warning label." Too bad, no more rope ladders, that sounds both dangerous and fun.

I start my way down. The trail soon transitions into a series of impressive, steep stairways.

My first glimpse of the falls.

As I continue to descend the view gets better and better.

Here's a close-up of the colorful rock that surrounds me as I descend to the brink of the falls. "The multi-hued rocks of the canyon result from the hydrothermally altered rhyolite and sediments."

The stairways are bolted to the canyon walls via an intricate system of steel girders.
