Before leaving the Smokies I decide to stick around to take in the evening's sunset. These shots play around with the dead trees, all highlighted by the angled, setting sunlight.

Here, the sun is about ready to give up the ghost. Aside from a few jet contrails there isn't a mark to be seen anywhere on the kaleidoscope colored sky.
