After arriving at the Crow Creek Campground in Central Washington State, I walk around to the back of the van, only to discover that my bike rack is sitting at an odd angle. What's going on? It appears the rack's bumper mount has somehow came loose and is in need of some tightening. Had the mount completely failed, I doubt I would have lost my bikes. Between the 4 bungee cords holding the blue rain tarp in place as well as a chain that fastens the bikes to the bumper (ensuring someone else doesn't get the pleasure of riding them without my permission), I think the bikes would have stayed on just fine.
