More up and up.

Poor Lindsay, the previous day she roadbiked almost 50 miles and the day before that hiked 17 miles. To add insult to injury (and yes, her feet are suffering as well), she doesn't have clip-in peddles. So she is missing the all important "up-stroke" when climbing hills. It is as if her 8 cylinder engine is only running on 4 cylinders.

More up and up. The last of it is pretty steep, but we finally make it.

Atop Shadow Mountain is this really interesting observation tower. It even has a funky spiral staircase.
