Today will be entirely dedicated to visiting a large portion of Lake Placid's Winter Olympic Sports Complex. I'll visit the major attractions, including 2 ice arenas, a speed skating rink, 2 ski jumps, a free-style ski center, and a multi-purpose bobsled/luge/skeleton facility.

First on my sightseeing agenda is to tour the ice skating and speed skating rinks.

After completing my tour, I jump in the van and head south on Route 73 to the Olympic Jumping Complex.

After completing my tour I ski jump... er ...jump into the van once again and head even further out from Lake Placid to the Verizon Sports Complex. This is where I'll find the facilities used for bobsled, luge, and skeleton.

After my final tour is completed I'm feeling rather bloated with everything Olympic. With plenty of fascinating Olympic history swimming around in my head to ponder, I drive back to my campsite. After arriving I settle in for the night and work a bit on my travel writing. Sadly, tomorrow would be my last day in the Adirondacks. Before going to bed I draw up plans to tour Whiteface Mountain via the Veteran's Memorial Highway.
