Some nearby visually interesting trees. In the second photo it looks like the two trees are in a death embrace.

I proceed to boulder around the tower's base. Soon my trek takes me into the shadow-side of the tower. As it starts to block out the sun, I try to get interesting shots of the sun peeking over the top, but as expected, my camera underexposes the pictures.

Amidst the tower shadow. This gets me to wondering, if a nuclear weapon exploded, let's say, 3 miles away on the sunny side of the tower, would it block all of the initial radiation? I'm thinking it would.
