In short order we complete the hike. This is one of the nice things about living in the woods. Nearby hikes abound, all you need is a little creativity and a compass.

My remaining time with Bill has grown short. Before leaving we walk over to his neighbor's property where he shows me this nice panorama.

In the distance we can see Mount Chocorua. Bill and I hiked the mountain less than a week ago.

Well, as the old rusty saying goes, "All good things must come to an end.". Unfortunately, it is time for me to push on. Regretfully, Bill says his goodbyes to Duncan and myself. How befitting, it's starting to rain now, it effectively mirrors how we feel inside; sad and melancholy. But, not all is lost. I've gained more than a few great memories of my time spend with Bill. I'm not sure when we'll see each other again, but when we do you can be rest-assured that we'll have fun catching-up, swapping stories, and hiking.
