White Mountain National Forest
Southern New Hampshire

We climb down from the peak and look for some shelter where we can rest and grab a bite to eat. Looking at the time I see it took us almost 2.75 hours to get here. Wow, that took a lot longer that I would have guessed.

I settle in for our short stay. I didn't bring any long pants along so I resort to curling up to stay warm.

Time for lunch. It looks to me like my ham sandwich has mated with my Oreo cookies. In all honesty, I can't think of a better marriage between sandwich and cookie.

Uh-oh. I think the hike has gotten the best of good ole Bill. It looks like he's turned all old and feeble on me. Sorry Bill, you're going to have to snap out of it, I can't carry you down off the mountain.

After eating and resting for a spell, Bill and I mount our travel-weary legs then spur them into some downslope action. At one point I try to get Bill to dance (3.3 MB) for the camera, but he's not buying into it.
