The time has arrived to tour Acadia National Park on two wheels. I get all gussied up for my early October bike ride.
I think better of it and don a wind breaker and biking gloves to keep the chilly wind at bay. There's nothing worse than being unnecessarily cold on a bike ride. I figure if I overheat I'll just remove and stuff the unneeded clothing into my water backpack. God, I look like a clothing store mannequin. No, seriously, it's really me.
I bike out of Blackwoods Campground, quickly reach Route-3, then head westward. I only have a vague idea of my route. My primary directive is to ride a clockwise tour of Mount Desert Island with a climb of Cadillac Mountain thrown in for good measure.
