Central Maine Coast

I finally reach Otter Cove where I'm greeted by Cadillac Mountain, located about 2.5 miles away.

Me and Cadillac Mountain. Geeze! For as red as my nose is, you must think I've been tipping the bottle. Yeah, I wish. Rather, it's getting colder by the minute, for the sun is doing its best to fall out of the western sky.

I wrap up the bike ride in short order. After losing sight of the ocean, I arrive at the bridge where previously, in the beginning of my ride, I had descended via a steep dirt trail. Taking the same trail up I meet up with Route-3 and ride back to the campground entrance.

A little more riding and I'm back at my campsite and the van. The ride is now over but pleasant memories of it live on as I stow my bike and clean-up. The ride proves to be a good one. Lots of forest, mountains, and coastline. Despite the cool October temperatures, I rate my road bike ride of Acadia National Park 5 thumbs-up, the maximum rating possible.
