Central Maine Coast

I turn around and make my way down the mountainside. Shortly thereafter I discover the true reward for my earlier uphill effort is this downhill run. For safety sake, I pack away my camera at the beginning of the descent. I need to have both hands on the handlebars. It's now my turn for car-racing glory! I easily keep pace with the cars on the way down and, in some cases, I actually pass them! Hehehe.

My ride down the twisting, winding road is most exhilarating. I manage to top out at 37 mph, pretty good considering all the sharp curves in the road. As you can see from my red face and ears at the downhill finish, I'm really quite cold.

Back on Jordan Pond Road once again, I start riding and warming up.

Soon I run into Park Loop Road. At this juncture the road turns one-way which is really nice. I get two lanes to choose from.

After a bit of riding I stop to admire the scenery. Off in the distance I see a house on a hill. Wouldn't you just love to live there? I know I would.

A panorama of Frenchman Bay.
