For the most part, the central section of Main Street seems to be better maintained than when I last visited. Some fresh painting is evident and some of the businesses have added new awnings to spruce things up.

My next stop is my street, Gibson Street.

On the corner of Main and Gibson there's this apartment building. When I was growing up this place was always pretty much a dump. But the property looks great today.

I pass more houses on my way up the street. In general, some of the homes are not looking as great as they used to which is sad to see.
