This exhibit talks about the blown hatch controversy involving Gus Grissom and Liberty Bell 7. Some accused him of being responsible for prematurely blowing off the hatch which resulted in the sinking of his spacecraft in the Atlantic Ocean.

Here's the beginnings of a large exhibit that traces the search and recovery efforts of Gus Grissom's Liberty Bell 7.

The first issue at hand was located the spacecraft, not an easy task considering the wide area that needed to be searched.
