Houston, Texas

Here's the latest and greatest, the X-38. Oh, I see. This vehicle is an escape spacecraft of sorts, it's officially called a Crew Return Vehicle (CRV). If something goes seriously south at a space station, the astronauts can hop into one of these little beauties and escape back to earth.

After getting our fill of the high-tech lifeboats, we mosey on over to the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility.

Inside the lobby we see pictures of astronauts in training. Where can I get one of those cool red suits?

Up the stairs we go to a mezzanine which provides a excellent viewpoint into the training complex. It is here astronauts train and perfect their skills. Too bad, today is Sunday, so no one is on the floor learning about space stuff.
