MEDICINAL PLANTS

This next exhibit calls attention to the important medical properties of plants.

What on earth is this plant?

It's a Papaya Tree. It certainly is rather strange looking, eh? Traditional uses include the elimination of intestinal parasites, a digestive aid, soothe skin irritation, sunburn, a facial renewal cream, treat dog bites, prevent rheumatism, treat syphilis, and asthma. Modern uses include removing corns, relieve heartburn and indigestion, and treatment of back injuries. And of course you can eat its fruit.

Here's the blow-by-blow on the medical uses for the Eucalyptus Tree.

Here are more placards.
