Roswell, New Mexico

The US Air Force has been studying UFO reports since the 1940s. Project Sign, Project Grudge, Project Blue Book, all were official military programs. In 1969 an announcement was made to halt all projects, the military claiming such efforts were basically a big waste of time and resources. The word on the street is the government is still very much interested in such projects, they are just handled by private channels in hush mode.

Good Lord, there's more information. My head is starting to hurt.

Skepticism abounds because the typical observer of UFO phenomenon are not trained in the skills of objective observation and haven't a clue about scientific methods. Great care and patience must to exercised by scientists who are investigating such reports.

Popular publications that have addressed the skepticism issue.
