M O U N T M A R C Y
Adirondack State Park Upstate New York
So with little hope I take this picture as I look at the camera and discover the impact only damaged the automatic lens cover that deploys whenever the camera is turned off and the lens retracts. I'm relieved the camera isn't totaled but bummed because I'm almost at the top of the mountain which promises to be the climax of today's photoshoot.
Well this sucks! My pictures look terrible! But what can I do? Only one thing of course. Continue to hike and snap photos. So that's what I do.
As I climb higher, stubby evergreens gave way to low-lying shrubbery.
On the way up I encounter yet another rock pyramid trail marker.
Funky rock art or is someone trying to keep the hikers out of the center to protect whatever is there?
After a little more climbing I finally reach the top. I'm greeted by this historical marker. Sorry, it's a bit hard to read.
